A large part of “interview intangibles” is the simple act of appealing to the human side of people. Make people laugh. Make them remember you.
Simply being funny and telling stories won’t get you the job, of course. But the ability to make a memorable connection with the interview panel is key.
If you can be memorable and funny in the interview, the thinking goes, you’ll likely be able to do that in front of a room full of students.
